Another busy day...

Gosh it's been a long time since I posted anything, but I'm afraid that's been the pattern with every diary I've ever tried to keep. I have been busy though. For example, during the last 24 hours I've had to...

Clear up after the dog was sick... twice!

Poke around in my three year old's poo to make sure that the 5p coin she swallowed last night had come out.

Get up twice in the night to deal with crying kids.

Take up the bathroom carpet that the two year old had poured water over.

Get a bird out of the woodburning stove after it came down the chimney.

+ lots of regular stuff like nappy changing, cooking the evening meal from scratch, food shopping, working on the allotment, dealing with photo sales from an event I photographed at the weekend and even a bit of cleaning.

Am I a modern man or what?

More to the point, on the topic of inconspicuous consumption, I've just ordered How To Make A Forest Garden from Amazon. A book about permaculture and maximising the productivity of your garden as a food source in an environmentally sustainable way. When I've read it I might write more.
